This module is the central element of Time data management. Here, all data flow together and are processed and prepared for individual analyzes, evaluations, reviews, statistics, wage data etc.
If applicable the recorded data can be transferred into third party programs for payroll purposes.

Time recording options:

  • Manual time recording:
    Entering the employee times directly in the time management program from manually written timesheets.
    Also provides correction options for the times recorded with devices.
  • Mobile time recording:
    MTS with smartphones, tablets
    MDE with special mobile (barcode) laser scanner
  • Stationary time recording:
    PDC (BDE) with several plant data collection devices
    TTR (TZE) terminal time recording with laptop or touch screen

For faster collecting and avoidance of erroneous data entries, the input data are not recorded manually when using the TTR/PDC/MDE (TZE/BDE/MDE) devices, but are accepted from the barcode.

The time management program can be used without intensive preparation. After defining cost center names and overheads time types (such as unloading, tidying, machine maintenance), the hourly entries for employees, projects, and cost centers/task codes can be performed immediately.


Material receipt entry and final costing in time management

Using material receipt entry, material data and external services can be recorded from diverse sources (calculation, customer order handling etc.) or manually.
Besides inclusive the actual quantities and actual prices and assigned to a time management project/position for quantitative and qualitative evaluation.
In the final costing/review of the project, this assignment is displayed in detail, so any deviations can be checked at a glance.

Principle of electronic time recording

Thanks to the use of various recording devices, electronic time recording enables exact recording and evaluation of your times.
This results in the required cost and schedule control over all orders in your company and the necessary transparency.
With regard to the use of the different time recording systems the electronic time data collection can be adapted exactly to your company.
Principle of time recording with stationary and/or mobile time recording devices:

  • if an employee starts a workshop job-order, he reads-in e.g. at the BDE device via barcode cards
    – project number
    – cost center/task code number
    – employee number
  • If the employee starts with a new job, it is the same procedure.
    From the two recorded times, the program then calculates the exact duration or time period of the respective work activity.
  • The data from the recording device are automatically made available to time management and processed there. Daily logged they can be corrected if necessary.

Approximate capacity planning


The feature OSD Approximate capacity planning is an integrated part of the OSD Time management. It supports companies with the planning of their operation. 

  • How is the capacity of the entire company or of certain key positions in the company?
  • Would it be possible to accept an order with a predetermined delivery date?
  • Should additional employees or overtime be scheduled? Is it possible to reduce overtimes?

The OSD Time management provides the basic data for capacity calculations:
e.g. productive hours and overheads, target hours and hours worked per project, annual work schedules, absent times like vacation and holidays.
With the OSD Approximate capacity planning this data are used to get an overview of the companys utilization – with minimal effort. Thus it supports important decisions at any time.
