With OSD Calculation & parts lists you can enter your parts lists manually with a good overview and also optimize the calculation of your estimate/quotation. You work quickly and with exact costs.

The benefit of saving time is obvious, because you can enter parts lists or you have the possibility to transfer existing material data. Similar to a manual purchase and cut list. The program can, for example, automatically determine the demand for veneers, finishes and edges with only a few entries.

You can reduce the hassle of input even further by recourse to already recorded data:

The parts lists of individual positions can, in addition to manual input, be transferred from previously saved project calculations and if necessary easily be adjusted to the new requirements. You can increase the time savings once more by using of the modules OSD Variable parts list or the carcase generator OSD Corpus+. By doing so automatically calculated detail dimensions per item will be provided.

For the input of parts lists, you can, if necessary, define additional fields and adapt them to the individual needs of your business operations.

More functions:
– specify if material is to be ordered explicitly,
– choose who is the supplier,
– you can directly assign CNC programs to the parts,
– specify on which CNC machine the part should be manufactured,
– Etc.

Furthermore, one or several CNC programs can directly be generated by the OSD CNC single parts processing or for each part seperately.

Material data

The Calculation & parts lists program contains several thousand materials with material specific (price, supplier, article number, weight…) and technical data (CNC information). You are free to change the suggested data according to your own needs. If prices are changing you can modify them individually or even for an entire group. That is also possible with a data exchange file from suppliers (called DATANORM).

In our customer area on the OSD website you can receive the material catalog of many producers / suppliers with no additional cost. You can import the data in the software module OSD Calculation & parts lists.


Foundation for material and wood lists

To determine the cost of materials you will need beside the specification of the used materials, the dimensions and the amount of the workpieces. If the parts lists are created in detail or for example generated through the adaptation from OSD Corpus+ this data also becomes available for printing production lists.

Overview lists of projects and parts, as well as lists of solid wood, sheet goods, hardware or lists of veneers and edges may be put out depending on the requirements.

For a more efficient production and for a better purchase multiple projects or positions can be summarized to a combined transaction.

You can design the prints of the production lists by changing the content, layout and structure. As an alternative or supplement to the lists you can also print labels for a workpiece.

Manufacturing / Production costs

Basics for determining the production costs are production times. You can choose between three ways to determine desired times:

  1. The calculator uses the experience and assigns the times to the individual task code (cost center). Detailed procedures to the individual work steps are possible if necessary.
  1. If there are already existing or similar products, you can access and use the required times. With assigning classifications, you are able to find similar jobs/projects easily in product groups (time) catalogs. The time evaluation is much more exact because of these comparisons.
  1. For the workstep calculation material or parts are linked to the necessary tasks to perform the entire process of a workstep. Depending on, for example, the necessary set-up times, quantities and dimensions of the workpieces, the production times are automatically calculated and proposed for the further use for monitoring the project.

The above methods can also be used in a combined calculation. An individual change of proposed times is possible at any time. The evaluation of the times for each task code (cost center) based on contribution margins or total production cost (absorbed cost). You can add more individual surcharges for administration & sales and risk and profits. By using different cost rates, you get a quick overview of your pricing options.
